Full Moon Yoga with a Lunar Eclipse Twist

On October 18th we had a full moon and a lunar eclipse.  Myself and 21 other magical beings celebrated the energy of those 2 events on Folly Beach with beachside yoga.  We celebrated the Hunter’s Moon which represents a time for us to gather only what is necessary, only what serves us, leaving the rest behind as we move into hibernation.  For us today, as we go into the winter months, seeing less of the sun, spending less time outdoors.

The Lunar Eclipse is tied to our emotions.   Feelings or fears we have been suppressing come to the surface.  This is a great time to face those fears, see what the motivation behind them is, and release them and move forward.  This Lunar Eclipse can give us that cosmic push we need to make these changes in our lives.  Effects of this eclipse can last into November, so you still have time.

These two events together can really work in our favor.  Take these next weeks to explore what fears may be holding you back from your true path. do some yoga, meditate, breathe.  What things do you carry with you out of habit or fear? Are you willing to take the risk and let go?
