Are You in Harmony With Your Spirit
Some of us move through our days just going through the motions. Maybe living a life not our own, or doubting our potential. Some of us get stuck in a rut, doing the same thing every day, following other people’s rules and beliefs of how we should live. Or maybe you sit around dreaming of what could be, but never really believing in yourself enough to explore your potential for fear you might fail. Why do we let fear rule us? Fear and doubt, as crazy as it sounds become our comfort zone. Trust and belief, carry a lot of risk. How do we get out of our comfort zone to discover our potential?? How do we build that trust in ourselves?
*Practice. Just like anything else it takes practice, time, and patience. We have to let go of old habits, we have to rediscover who we are.
*Awareness. Checking in with yourself to ask… “Am I really happy?” or am I just going through the motions. Think about what it is that you really love and try to fit that more into your schedule. The more you bring awareness to it, the more you will find it comes to you.
*Yoga. Yoga helps to quiet the mind, and all those other voices that haunt you. Yoga allows you to be you, without expectations or judgment. You are free to be you inside and out. Yoga brings you closer to your authentic self, closer to your inner wisdom. That’s the volume you need to turn up
*1-5 minutes of meditation a day. Take a moment, soften your eyes and tune into your breath, slow your breath down. Feel the earth beneath you. Think of the people in your life who love and support you, and create a space of love and gratitude around you. Then visualize whatever it is you want in life. Connect with what makes your spirit sing. See yourself connecting and trusting in you. Open yourself to your potential. Out of habit, the little voice inside your head may start to say things like “no way you can do that” or “you’re not smart enough” or “everyone will think I am crazy”. And that’s when you turn the volume down on speaker B (for BS) and turn up the volume on speaker A (Authentic Self) . I know, super corny, but hey… if it works, it works.
My blogs usually reflect personal experience, things in life I have also been through. This is a big one. Starting my own business last summer, at the time that I did, was a very scary thing. I had to put a lot of trust and faith in myself. I had to trust that even though I may not be the most organized or the best with time management, that my love for teaching yoga would take the reins and all else would fall into place. Once I quieted all of the doubts, opened myself to my potential, and truly believed, the universe opened up and everything fell into place. Walls became doors. Make space for what you love. Harmonize with your spirit and look within, allow that to be your destination. There will always be struggle but if you love what you do, the struggle is always worth it.
I am so grateful to myself, for believing in me! If you feel that you are lacking something in your life do something about it!!
