My First Blog Post
I have always considered teaching yoga a blessing. I feel so lucky to be able to do what I love. It inspires me in more ways than I can count. No matter what kind of day I am having – and yes, yoga instructors do have bad days- after teaching, I always feel 100% better. Teaching sings to my soul.
It has been my dream to expand my teaching, offering more private or small group classes, but this has been a challenge with 2 small children at home. Well, we hit a big milestone this year and our youngest went to Kindergarten, leaving me sad but open to possibilities.
Over the summer, I opened space in my being to follow my dreams. As soon as I let the universe know I was ready, doors everywhere began to open for me.
The name Serenity Tree Yoga was born and my heart began to sing a little louder. Am I nervous? Yes, a little bit, but I know, without a shadow of a doubt, this is my path. As long as I keep the doors open, STY will continue to grow.
The love and support from family and friends have been more than I could ever ask for. The love from my community and fellow yogis continues to astound me. So remember, ask for what you want, and open your heart to your passion, “your mountain is waiting, so get on your way.”
